Le Congrès Insanyyat propose plusieurs ateliers de formation dans des disciplines diverses. Ces ateliers sont ouverts au public sur inscription préalable par courrier électronique auprès des organisateurs.
Cet atelier entend proposer aux enseignants-chercheurs en sciences humaines et sociales, mais aussi à leurs mastérants et doctorants, une introduction aux humanités numériques à travers la présentation d’une panoplie d’outils susceptibles de faciliter leur travail. L’accent sera mis sur la TEI, ou Text Encoding Initiative, qui est à la fois un format de balisage des textes et une communauté académique internationale, recommandant des normes d’encodage pour les ressources numériques.
Les principaux exemples considérés auront trait à la langue arabe et à ses traductions. On présentera en particulier le site électronique Coran 12-21, www.coran12-21.org, co-développé par Aix-Marseille Université (CIELAM) et l’Université Lyon 2 (IHRIM), sous la direction de Tristan Vigliano et de Mouhamadoul Khaly Wélé. Le propos de ce site est de mettre en ligne et de contextualiser des traductions du Coran depuis le 12e jusqu’au 21e siècle, c’est-à-dire de la toute première version européenne jusqu’aux versions les plus contemporaines. On exposera les problèmes intellectuels soulevés, les difficultés techniques rencontrées, les solutions trouvées, dans l’espoir que les participants aient eux-mêmes envie de contribuer au développement du site, ou de sites semblables : car les humanités numériques sont toujours une entreprise collaborative.

This workshop aims to provide teachers and researchers in the humanities and social sciences, as well as their graduate and doctoral students, with an introduction to digital humanities through the presentation of a range of tools that can facilitate their work. The focus will be on the TEI, or Text Encoding Initiative, which is both a text markup format and an international academic community recommending encoding standards for digital resources.
The main examples considered will relate to the Arabic language and its translations. In particular, we will present the electronic site Quran 12-21, www.coran12-21.org, co-developed by Aix-Marseille University (CIELAM) and Lyon 2 University (IHRIM), under the direction of Tristan Vigliano and Mouhamadoul Khaly Wélé. The purpose of this site is to put online and contextualize translations of the Quran from the 12th to the 21st century, that is, from the very first European version to the most contemporary ones. We will expose the intellectual problems raised, the technical difficulties encountered, the solutions found, in the hope that the participants will themselves want to contribute to the development of the site, or of similar sites: for the digital humanities are always a collaborative enterprise.
