Between the deserted camps (atlal) of the written heritage

The Tunisian written heritage evokes the image of the poet in love stopping in front of deserted and obscure camps. He is stunned by the absence, disconcerted by the magnitude of the lost objects and the persistent oblivion of those whose traces remain. The official narrative of history and culture as well as the educational system in independent Tunisia were built on these ruins. More than sixty years after independence, and more than ten years after the beginning of the Tunisian revolution, we are experiencing an erosion that exposes the cultural buildings and reveals these ruins and traces again.
Our work of the Museum of Written Heritage is located in these deserted camps. We do not mourn the loss of the loved one, like the former lovers, we rebuild ourselves by revisiting them.

Issues and challenges of digital humanities in the age of open science

The dematerialization of scientific activity has long been transforming research in the humanities and social sciences, regardless of its field of application. However, it depends on the geographical areas of specialization. The policies of openness and sustainability of research data are now opening up new challenges to the digital transitions underway. The presentation will give some examples of this phenomena, and present initiatives aimed at supporting these changes in the field of research on the South.
