A104 - Table-ronde : Évènement et expériences limites dans les littératures tunisienne et française FR
L’atelier interroge les liens possibles entre les deux concepts d’ « événement » et d’ « expériences limites » en les insérant dans une catégorie de l’histoire de la littérature, celle des textes « maudits ». Quelles sont les caractéristiques thématiques, scripturales, esthétiques et politiques de ces textes ? Leur émergence est-elle liée à des contextes historiques ou existentiels particuliers ? Sont-ils générés par des événements politiques ou autres faits fonctionnant comme des césures herméneutiques ou favorisant une herméneutique de l’interrogation ?
Pour déployer ces questionnements autour d’œuvres en arabe et en français, cet atelier prendra la forme d’une table ronde pour interroger ce concept singulièrement pluriel dont les déclinaisons multiples soulignent le caractère particulièrement fécond. Les écrivains qui se sont adonnés à des expériences liminaires différentes seront à l’honneur dans le cadre d’une lecture comparative qui encourage l’interaction entre des chercheurs venus d’horizons différents. Les animateurs de l’atelier, en majorité des doctorants de l’université tunisienne (Manouba, ENS de Tunis) proposeront des textes abordant ces questions à partir de leurs domaines de recherche. L’atelier se fera en langue française. Les textes arabophones seront traduits pour l’occasion. Nous prévoyons deux séances, chacune de 3h, une le matin et une l’après-midi.

- Marouene Souab, ENS de Tunis, La notion de postes-frontières chez Pascal Quignard
Enseignant à l’ENS et doctorant préparant une thèse autour d’une poétique du mensonge chez Pascal Quignard proposera une séance autour des expériences limites chez le même auteur : Puissance du faux et remise en question de la vérité dans L’enfant d’Ingolstadt de Pascal Quignard.
- Haythem Jarboui , Faculté des Sciences de Tunis
Professeur principal détaché à la Faculté des Sciences de Tunis et doctorant préparant une thèse de doctorat en cotutelle (Université de Nantes / Faculté des Sciences Humaines et Sociales de Tunis), intitulée « Les représentations de la souveraineté dans l’œuvre romanesque de Philippe Sollers ». Dans cette thèse, l’auteur met en perspective littérature et droit. Il prépare aussi un Master en science politique à la FSJPST. Il présentera la réflexion de Sollers qui est une pensée soixante-huitarde et subversive, et commentera des extraits romanesques où il est question d’expérience-limite (textes sans ponctuation, écriture ‘‘ militante’’, textes de jouissance au sens barthien) afin de mettre en avant le travail effectué par l’auteur de L’écriture et l’expérience des limites (Seuil, coll. « Point », 1968) sur le langage.
- Imen Gharbi, Université de La Manouba
Enseignante agrégée à l’université de la Manouba et préparant un Mastère en littérature comparée autour de Patrick Chamoiseau et Werner Herzog. Elle abordera la question chez l’auteur et le cinéaste : « Entreprises colonisatrices et expériences limites : vertige du récit, vertige de l’identité ».
- Sihem Sidaoui, Université de La Manouba, L'expérience des limites dans la littérature et le cinéma tunisiens
Enseignante à l’Université de la Manouba, coordinatrice de l’atelier « Evénement et expériences limites », préparant une HDR autour d’une esthétique de l’Evénement dans la littérature et le cinéma tunisiens post 2011. Elle proposera des textes arabophones autour des expériences limites dans les nouvelles et roman de Aymen Daboussi : Extraits de Bandaison noire (Beyrouth, El Jamel, 2016), Chronique d’Errazi (Beyrouth, El Jamel, 2017) et de Révulsion de l’œil (Beyrouth, El Jamel, 2021).
Les participants à l’atelier pourront interagir en ramenant ou en évoquant des textes ou des films arabophones, francophones ou anglophones relevant pour eux de cette même problématique. L’atelier s’inscrit dans l’esprit des littératures comparées ouvertes sur le monde et sur les disciplines. Il sera inauguré par une performance de l’actrice tunisienne Basma Baazaoui autour de « Langage du corps et expériences limites ».
Event and borderline experiences in Tunisian and French literature
The workshop questions the possible links between the concepts of "Event" and "Limit-experiences " by interrogating both of them in a specific category of literature history : "Cursed texts". What are the thematic, stylistic, aesthetic and political characteristics of said texts? Is their development linked to historical context or to existential experiences ? Are they generated by certain political events or by other facts that function as hermeneutic caesura or as triggers for a hermeneutic questioning? In order to unfold these questions around writings in Arabic and French, this workshop will be held as a round table aiming to interrogate this singularly pluralistic concept with multiple variations that assert its prolificacy. It will put in the spotlight writers who embrace different Limit-experiences, in the context of a comparative approach that encourages interactions between researchers from different backgrounds.

The workshop facilitators, mostly PhD students from Tunisian Universities (Manouba, ENS of Tunis), will propose texts that address these questions, from the perspective of their research subjects. It will be held in French and the texts in arabic will be translated for the matter. Two sessions are scheduled, of 3 hours each, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Teacher at the ENS and PhD student conducting a thesis on 'Poetics of falsehood in the work of Pascal Quignard'. Will propose a session on Limit-experiences in the writer's work under the title 'Might of the fake and reconsideration of truth in "The child of Ingolstadt" by Pascal Quignard'.

Principal professor seconded at the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis and PhD student conducting a thesis in collaboration between the university of Nantes and the Faculty of human and social sciences of Tunis titled 'The representations of sovereignty in the novels of Philippe Sollers' in which the author puts into perspective Law and Literature. He is also preparing a MA thesis in political science at the FSJPST. He will be presenting the thoughts of Sollers, remarkably subversive and aligned with the May-68 ideology, and commenting excerpts of the writer's novellas that address the Limit-experiences subject (texts without punctuation, "militant" writing, texts on Pleasure in the barthian sense) in order to showcase the contribution by the author of 'Writing and Limit-experiences' (Paris, Seuil, coll. "Points", 1968) to language sciences.

- Sihem Sidaoui, Université de La Manouba, L'expérience des limites dans la littérature et le cinéma tunisiens
Professor at the University of Manouba, coordinator of the workshop 'Event and Limit-experiences', preparing a thesis for Habilitation to Conduct Reaserches on the Aesthetic of the Event in Tunisian literature and cinema post 2011. She will propose arabophone texts of Aymen Daboussi, such as excerpts of 'Black Erection' (Beirut, El Jamel publications, 2016), of 'Chronicles of Errazi' (Beirut, El Jamel publications, 2017) and 'Revulsion of the eye ' (Beirut, El Jamel publications, 2021).
Participants are invited to interact and suggest or reference texts or films in Arabic, French or English that touch upon the subject in discussion. The workshop embraces and aims to push forward the vein of comparative literature that promotes openness on the world and on different fields of knowledge. It will be inaugurated with a performance by tunisian actress Basma Bâazaoui revolving around 'Language of the body and Limit-experiences'.
